Date – 18th August 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the Independence Day celebrations, Class V students participated in a \u201cNewspaper from 1947\u201d activity, exploring India\u2019s history through primary sources and visual records from the year of Independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students collected historical newspaper clippings, major headlines, stamps, currency replicas, photographs and advertisements to create creative collages and chronological journals depicting the events and atmosphere of 1947, including the freedom struggle and Partition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hands-on activity encouraged students to look beyond textbooks while developing research, observation, critical thinking and creative presentation skills. Students also shared fascinating historical facts, gaining a deeper appreciation of India\u2019s journey towards independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
