A team of twelve students from Amity International School, Pushp Vihar participated in the 22nd Asian Regional Space Settlement Design Competition (ARSSDC) 2025–26 – Semi-Final Round, held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 29 January to 2 February 2026, with the blessings and guidance of our respected Chairperson Ma’am.
The competition saw participation from 31 schools across Asia, including India, China, Pakistan, and Singapore. All teams were national-level quarterfinalists. Students were challenged to design a space settlement in the Asteroid Belt based on a Request for Proposal issued by The Foundation Society on 31 January 2026.
During the Asian Finals, participants were grouped into large aerospace companies and given 24 hours to develop and submit their proposals, followed by a 35-minute presentation and a rigorous Q&A session with the judges.
The Amity team was part of Company Rockdonnell, which was declared the Asian Winner, qualifying for the World Finals in Florida, USA, in July 2026. The students demonstrated exceptional leadership, with several elected to key roles: Saisha Ahuja (HOD – Human Factors), Vihaan Saxena (Vice President – Engineering), Sanay Choubey (Vice President – Marketing), Arjun Tikku (HOD – Operations), and Advik Dudani (HOD – Automation).
Adding to the achievement, Amity International School, Pushp Vihar won the Social Media Outreach Award, and Swini Bhambri received the prestigious Dick Edwards Leadership Award.
