Avneet Kaur Virdi of Class XI won the Best Pitch Award for her idea and business plan at U-18 Launchpad programme organised by Think Startup. She won the award for her app ParkFinder that uses GPS and ultrasonic sensors to quickly find an available parking spot in malls and residential societies. This national level competition saw 50 teams qualifying across the country for an online interview. Out of these, 15 teams were finally selected to take part in a two-week workshop. At the end of the workshop, the young entrepreneurs had to pitch their ideas before the investors based on their learnings. They also got an opportunity to visit Makerspace, IIT Delhi, where they saw the functioning and machinery required to prepare any product.
