The session aimed to nurture emotional awareness in young learners by helping them recognize basic emotions and express them through colours, facial expressions, and gestures. The activity started with a lively, interactive poem session enhanced by expressive gestures and vibrant emoji props, allowing the children to connect different feelings with their corresponding colours in a fun, meaningful, and age-appropriate manner. Student Transport Safety Parents Orientation
In alignment with the vision of Chairperson Dr. Amita Chauhan to ensure the safety, well-being, and holistic security of students, the school organized a mandatory Safety & Security Orientation Session for parents and guardians of private-van commuters. Initiated and supported by Principal Ms. Meenu Kanwar, the interactive session was conducted by Headmistress Ms. Anshu Verma. Former ADG, BSF, and Chief Security Advisor for the Amity Group of Schools, Mr. Ravi Gandhi, graced the event as Chief Guest, along with school coordinators and an attentive audience of parents. During the session, the Headmistress detailed the school's safety policies, the 28 Supreme Court directives, and guidelines from the Delhi Government and Directorate of Education. Parents were reminded of critical protocols, including vehicle safety equipment, verified drivers, mandatory female attendants for girl students, and the daily use of Escort Cards. Key commuter concerns—such as multi-school van sharing, unsupervised waiting times, missing safety gear, and unverified drivers—were highlighted. To address these, the school committed to maintaining comprehensive van records, establishing a supervised Van Dispersal Area, operating a direct information email line for changes, and strictly enforcing the Escort Card requirement. Chief Guest Mr. Ravi Gandhi emphasized the legal liabilities surrounding student transport and illustrated the severe consequences of negligence through real-life cases, urging parents to remain proactive through surprise checks. The orientation concluded with an engaging Q&A session and the distribution of a mandatory 'Parent Safety Declaration & Verification Checklist' to be submitted by Monday. The overarching message reiterated that student safety is a shared responsibility requiring constant vigilance and co-operation between parents and the school administration.
