Team Caffeina, the youth power team of the school lead by Atulya Kharb along with team members Parmeshi Juneja, Saiyam Garg and Amodini Vermani won the second runners up award along with AIS Saket and also bagged the award for Creativity for a Cause at the grand finale of the 17th Youth Power, the annual ethical leadership and social awareness competition organised under the aegis of The Global Times.
Team Caffeina organised several activities to raise awareness on the responsible consumption of caffeine. They installed dispensers of non-caffeinated drinks for office goers, organised a 15 Days No Caffeine Challenge, shared Grandma’s Energy Recipe to curb caffeine consumption, discussed side effects of excessive consumption with students, presented radio show with 04.8 Ishq FM etc. For their efforts, the team even received letters of appreciation from Nagarro office as well as Government of India’s Ministry of Power. The event was graced by Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF along with the Chief guest Dr. Rashmi Singh Secretary, Dept of Women & Child Development, Government of NCT of Delhi, Chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women, & Chairperson of Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights. This year’s Youth Power was judged by eminent jury comprising Manisha Ahlawat, Founder, School of Nature, Member of UP State Women’s Commission, Founder-partner at Kunzum Bookstores, and Aarti Srivastava, Professor and Head of Department of Higher and Professional Education, National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA).
