Students of Amity International School VYC, Lucknow celebrated Janmashtami the birthday of lord Krishna as a special event titled ‘Narayan Samarpan.’ Children gave presentations based on ‘Dashavtaar – Ten avatars of lord Vishnu’ to depict the relationship between God and human beings. A group of students presented religious songs dedicated to lord Krishna and another enthusiastic group participated in ‘Matk-Dahi Handi’ competition.

KHADI MISS INDIA 2018 CONTEST

Khadi Miss India Contest 2018 was held on August 4, 2018 at Amity International School Vrindavan Campus Auditorium, by the Miss India Khadi Foundation. It was a national level competition in which girls from different parts of India had participated and 23 finalists were selected for the final round. Akansha Pandey was the proud winner of the crown and became ‘Khadi Miss India -2018’. While Sanjana Mishra was the first runner up and Priya Singh was the second runner up.
DISTRICT KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP

The school hosted District Junior Karate Championship in the school on March 25, 2018 and won laurels in ‘Kumite’- freestyle fighting. In the ‘Under 8 Years Kumite’, Gursimran Kaur (VII) came first and Saanvi Singh (III) stood second. In ‘Under 6 Years Kumite’, Aditi Singh of (III) came first and Aish Nandini (II) stood second. The occasion was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Mr. T P Hawaliya, Director, Karate Association of UP and Guest of Honour Mr. Pankaj Gandhi, Joint Commissioner of Sales Tax.

PET SHOW

The school organised a Pet Show for the pet lovers. They recently brought not just their dogs, but also parakeets and fishes to show off. The day- long activity began with a dog show where the pooches were made to strike that perfect pose in the ring. The animals were judged by VK Dheer and senior Vet, Dr PK Sharma.
WORKSHOP ON POSITIVE PARENTING

An informative workshop on Positive Parenting was organised at AIS VYC Lucknow in an effort to motivate the parents to create a positive family atmosphere. School Principal SG Mishra initiated the workshop along with the school counselor Akansha Bhadoria.

School Principal SG Mishra along with a few students from school took the initiative of visiting an old age home to spend time with senior citizens on the Senior Citizen Day. Students learned from their stories of wisdom and experience and gave flowers and gifts to the senior citizens.
