Pre-Primary School Registration Made Simple: Process, Documents & Important Dates

We often hear parents ask, “How do we begin the pre primary admission journey for our child?”

For families exploring pre-primary schools in India, this guide explains the pre primary school registration process clearly from eligibility to documents so parents can plan with confidence.

Preschool Learning – Building Strong Foundations

At Amity Group of Schools, preschool learning for pre primary students (Nursery, LKG and UKG) is designed to support a smooth transition from home to formal schooling. The early years programme focuses on holistic development through joyful, play-based and experiential learning. Children learn in bright, well-equipped classrooms supported by modern infrastructure and learning tools. Alongside this, Indian values are nurtured through daily routines such as hawans, Sanskrit shlokas and value-based practices, helping children develop discipline, gratitude and respect from an early age.

Age Eligibility for Pre-Primary Admission (as on 31st March)

Understanding age eligibility is the first step in pre primary registration:

  • Nursery: 3+ years
  • LKG: 4+ years
  • UKG: 5+ years

Pre-Primary School Admission Process – At a Glance

The pre primary school admission process is simple, transparent and parent-friendly:

The interaction is not an assessment or written test. It allows educators to understand the child’s comfort level, communication and social readiness.

For campus-specific details, important dates and fee structure, parents are advised to visit the respective Amity School website or contact the school office.

Prerna Diwas: A Meaningful Interaction with Young Minds

उद्धरेदात्मनात्मानं नात्मानमवसादयेत् ।
आत्मैव ह्यात्मनो बन्धुरात्मैव रिपुरात्मनः ॥”

Lift yourself through your own efforts. Do not let yourself fall.

Our respected Chairperson, Ma’am Mrs. Amita Chauhan, shared these words from the Bhagavad Gita. The auditorium filled with curiosity as Ma’am explained the concept of shlok in simple terms. She told the children it is their responsibility to uplift themselves, develop their talents, and keep improving through their own efforts.

On May 11, 2026, Prerna Diwas was joyfully celebrated at Amity International School Vasundhara alongside our esteemed Chairperson, Ma’am. As students gathered for a celebration with Ma’am, the entire atmosphere was one of warmth and joy.

A Conversation with Every Student

The highlight of the celebration was the personal connection Ma’am established with the students. Instead of a formal speech, she made the decision to engage with them in an open manner. Many children had concerns about life, objectives, discipline, self-improvement, and everyday obstacles. Ma’am gave her responses to inspiring the students to succeed in the future.

This interaction made all of the students feel as though they had something to contribute and that their contributions were worthwhile. The whole session was one of curiosity, thoughtful dialogue and collaboration that engaged all of the participants in the discussion for a longer period than would otherwise have been the case.

Words That Made Students Reflect

During an engagement with students, Ma’am recited and discussed a shloka, describing its meaning as a means of personal progress through effort in one’s job and the need to constantly work on oneself. She also informed the students that when used correctly, our minds may be our most powerful tool.

Ma’am also discussed qualities which can be learned from the Bhagavad Gita concerning the qualities of patience, calmness, balance, and self-control and how these same qualities of character should be applied to all of our actions not only at school but throughout life.

A Vision for Young Voices

During the course of this interaction, the students had an opportunity to discuss with Ma’am regarding News paper  “The Global Times”  and Ma’am explained the reasons for developing this initiative to provide young people an opportunity to develop independent thinking skills, the ability to express themselves with confidence, and the capability of sharing their ideas with the world at large.

At the conclusion of Prerna Diwas, students left the Assembly Hall feeling inspired and reflective. The interaction left them with meaningful insights that they will carry forward in their journey.
