Date: September 13, 2025

Anirudh V Kamath of Class XI secured all India rank 2 in the junior category (Class IX-XII) of the prestigious National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test (NAEST). It is an annual Physics contest organised by National Anveshika Network of India (NANI), a unit of Indian Association of Physics Teachers, along with Shiksha Sopan, an NGO. The contest’s finale was held at Sopan Ashram, Kanpur. A total of 32,000 students from across the country attempted NAEST, out of which top 50 were shortlisted for the semifinal round in Kanpur. To be selected for the finals, the students performed three hands-on experiments designed by the legendary physicist Dr HC Verma that showcased their practical understanding of the concepts. The finalists were then tested through three more similar challenges, based on which three national winners were declared. The participants were judged not only on accuracy, but also on their creativity, understanding, execution and calculations.
