Admission Procedure
Our admission process is simple and transparent. Although we would like to accommodate all applicants, we are bound with our commitment to maintain our pre-defined class size. Therefore, admission is done on a First Come First Serve (FCFS) basis.
Nursery to Grade VIII – ADMISSION

- Fill in the Registration Form available online on the website

- Applicant along with parents, visit the school on the appointed date* for admission counselling and interaction
- Receive the Admission Offer
- Confirm admission – pay fee and submit documents

Note
- Submission of registration form does not guarantee admission
- Admissions are subject to availability of seats
- 25% of seats in Nursery are reserved under Right to Education quota
- Applications are considered on First Come First Serve (FCFS) basis.
- Appointed date* is the date finalised by the Admission Counsellor after discussion with the family as per the available slots of interactions.
- All admissions will be provisional and to be confirmed only after the submission of documents and fees.
Grade IX – ADMISSION
Admission to Class IX is subject to vacancy of seats along with the applicant qualifying in the school entrance test and interaction. The final selection will be based on the applicant’s overall performance.
Eligibility
- Applicant should have passed Grade VIII from a recognized school with good attendance and honourable character.
- Applications will be accepted based on the minimum cut-off percentage decided by the school authorities.
- The school takes a holistic view of student achievement and reserves the right to alter the cut-off based on the student’s co-curricular and sports profile.
Procedure
- Registration forms are available only on the school website
- Duly filled in forms should be submitted online

- The applicant along with parents should visit the school on the appointed date* with their Grade VIII half-yearly/ year-end result for further consideration.
- Eligible candidates will be expected to take the entrance test on an allocated date** which will be followed by an interaction.
- Final selection is based on the overall performance of the applicant.
- The admission result is announced after completion of the procedure.

- Syllabus for entrance test is Grade VIII syllabus as per CBSE
- Applicant must clear the entrance test by scoring more than the cut-off score defined by the school authorities.
- Admissions will be offered if all the points of above-mentioned criteria are met.
- All admissions will be provisional and to be confirmed only after the submission of documents and fees.
Grade XI (All Streams) – ADMISSION
AIS Mohali offers courses in all streams – Medical, Non-Medical, Humanities & Commerce. As per NEP 2020 guidelines, we offer flexible, multidisciplinary options for subject choices in all courses.

Note Students may choose any one stream comprising a total of 5 main subjects. The students must visit the admission office for a discussion regarding the subject choice. The school reserves the right to drop any subject from the list of subjects offered and/or the additional subjects offered. The school has the discretion to offer/allow subjects depending on the availability of teachers, the number of interested students, time-table constraints, etc.

– If visiting before the board exam result, please submit Grade IX final report card and Grade X pre-board results
– If visiting after the board exam result is declared, please submit Grade IX report card as well as Grade X pre-board and board exam results
- Eligible applicants will be expected to take the entrance test on the allocated date** which will be followed by interactions.
- Final selection is based on the overall performance of the applicant.
- The admission result is announced after completion of the procedure.

- Syllabus for entrance test is Grade X syllabus as per CBSE
- Duration of entrance test will be 2 hours
- Applicant must clear the entrance test by scoring more than the cut-off marks defined by the school authorities.
- Admissions will be offered if all the points of above-mentioned criteria are met.
- All admissions will be provisional and to be confirmed only after the applicant passes the Grade X board examination successfully while meeting the cut-off criteria and submits required documents and fees.
