Admission Procedure

Our admission process is simple and transparent. Although we would like to accommodate all applicants, we are constrained by our class size. Therefore, admission is done on a First Come First Serve (FCFS) basis. 

Nursery to Grade VIII – ADMISSION

Become an Amitian in 5 easy steps: 

• Fill in the Admission Form available online on the website.

• Visit the school for Admission Counselling and interaction. 
• Receive the Admission Offer. 
• Confirm admission – pay fee.
• Welcome to the Amity Community! 

Grade IX – ADMISSION

In addition to the above-mentioned procedure, admission to Class IX is subject to vacancy and the student qualifying in the entrance test and interaction. The final selection will be based on the applicant’s overall performance.

Eligibility

Candidate should have passed Grade VIII from a recognized school.  Applications will be accepted based on the minimum cut-off percentage decided by the school authorities. The school takes a holistic view of student achievement and reserves the right to alter the cut-off based on the student’s co-curricular profile.

Procedure

Class IX admission is contingent upon a vacancy. 

• Registration forms are available on the school website from 1^st November 2023. 
• Duly filled in forms should be submitted online.

• The candidate along with parents should visit the school with their Grade VIII half-yearly/ year-end result for further consideration. 
• Eligible candidates will be expected to take the entrance test (syllabus attached) followed by an interaction. 
• Final selection is based on the overall performance of the applicant. 
• The admission result is announced after completion of the procedure. 

Grade XI (Medical, Non-Medical, Humanities & Commerce) – ADMISSION

AIS Mohali invites applications for admission to Grade XI in the Science (Medical and Non-Medical), Humanities & Commerce streams with the following subjects.

Note: Students may choose any one stream of their choice. Each stream comprises a total of 5 subjects. The school intends to be flexible in allowing various subject choices and the students must visit the admission office for discussion regarding the same. The school has the discretion to offer/allow subjects depending on the availability of teachers, the number of interested students, and time-table constraints. 

The school reserves the right to drop any subject from the optional/ additional subjects offered if the requisite number of students is not available. 

Eligibility

Each applicant should have completed 10 years of education from a recognized school. The candidate should have passed or should have taken/been taking the Class 10^th board exam or internal school examinations (pre-board). 

Applications will be accepted based on the minimum cut-off percentage decided by the school authorities for various streams.

• Forms duly filed should be submitted online.

• The prospective candidate along with parents must visit the school with the pre-board results for further consideration. 
• Eligible candidates will be expected to take the entrance test (syllabus PDF attached) post the board examination, followed by an interaction. 
• Final selection is based on the overall performance of applicant. 
• The admission result is announced after completion of the procedure. 

Note: Admissions will be granted if all the above criteria are met. Submission of registration form does not guarantee admission. Applications are considered on First Come First Serve (FCFS) basis. All admissions will be provisional and to be confirmed only after the following documents are submitted.
