The school strictly follows the new education policy formulated by the Union Cabinet of India on 29 July 2020. According to the New Academic Structure, the old 10+2 system is replaced with the new 5+3+3+4 system. It consists of the following:
Every attempt is made by the school to identify and develop the creative potential of each learner. The school follows the principle that education must develop both the foundational capacities of literacy and numeracy and higher-order cognitive capacities, such as critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills. Our trained faculty members at the pre-primary level take extra care of social, ethical and emotional capacities and dispositions. We strictly follow the curricular and pedagogical structure of ECCE.
At this stage, we follow the play, discovery, and activity-based structure of the Foundational stage. As children make progress toward their understanding of the external world, we introduce some more formal but interactive ways of classroom learning. Our teachers lay a solid groundwork across the subjects, including reading, writing, speaking, physical education, art, languages, sciences, and mathematics.
At this stage, we introduce subject teachers for learning and discussion of the more abstract concepts in the subjects across sciences, mathematics, arts, social sciences, and humanities. We focus on experiential learning within each subject so students can explore relations among different subjects and make progress in each. Children are encouraged to perform activities involving coding at this stage.
This comprises four years of multidisciplinary studies, with greater depth, greater critical thinking, greater attention to life aspirations, and greater flexibility and students’ choice of subjects. Our teachers take special care to facilitate their entry into higher education.
