Sixty students from the school contributed towards creating Guinness Book of World Record for assembling and lighting largest number of solar lamps within 5 minutes at one place. They were amongst 285 Amitians from 5 different branches of Amity Group of Schools who became ‘Solar Ambassadors’ by participating in ‘Student Solar Ambassador workshop’ held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi. The event was organised under the aegis of ‘Gandhi Global Solar Yatra’ by IIT Mumbai as a part of 150th birth anniversary celebration of Mahatma Gandhi. Motto of the event was to make students the ‘Solar Ambassadors’ by training them to develop their own solar lamp as a part of ‘SoUL – Solar Urja through Localization’ and promote the use of solar energy.
