First Steps to a Bright Future

Where Childhood Begins, and Lifelong Learning Takes Root

Walk into a Nursery classroom at Amity International School, and you’ll find more than tiny tables and colorful walls. You’ll find wonder in every corner, questions in every pair of eyes, and care in every gesture. Because here, we believe the journey of education doesn’t begin with alphabets or numbers – it begins with trust, belonging, and joy.

The years between ages 3 and 6 are not just “early years” – they are foundations for a lifetime. Science tells us this is when the brain is most alive with possibility, when children absorb language, emotion, rhythm, and reasoning with a sponge-like capacity. But beyond science, any loving parent or teacher knows – this is when hearts open, when imagination blooms, and when confidence begins to quietly form.

At Amity, we honour this sacred window with the attention it deserves. We don’t rush children into academics – we guide them gently, respectfully, through stories, songs, games, and questions. Foundational Literacy and Numeracy are not just curriculum goals; they are woven into play, conversation, and discovery. A counting game can be a moment of joy. A shared story becomes a lesson in empathy.

Our classrooms are safe spaces where curiosity is nurtured, mistakes are welcomed, and every achievement – no matter how small – is celebrated with warmth. Teachers here are not just instructors; they are listeners, encouragers, and companions in learning.

Because at Amity, we don’t just prepare children for school – we prepare them for life.
The first steps matter. Let them be steady. Let them be joyful. Let them be full of love. That’s how bright futures begin

The True Colours of Holi: Celebrating Values, Culture, and Character at Amity

Holi is widely known as the festival of colours, laughter, and the excitement of celebrating with friends. Yet ,when it is celebrated with thought and purpose within a school, it becomes something far more meaningful.

As we approach Holi 2026, the celebrations at Amity International School Saket focus not only on festive joy, but on understanding the significance and  building a deeper connection to our culture and values, the foundation on which Amity and its philosophy thrives.

The Meaning Behind the festival

At Amity International School Saket, Holi begins with a peaceful Havan ceremony. Students and teachers gather together, creating a calm and reflective atmosphere before the festivities commence. A quiet sense of unity fills the surrounding as everyone participates in the sacred rituals.

The sacred fire symbolises the burning away of negativity and the welcoming of positivity, reflecting the powerful message of Holika Dahan. Children listen carefully as they absorb the reasons behind the rituals. It therefore transforms the experience from merely a tradition to reflection on inner growth.

After the Havan, teachers share the story of Prahlad and Narasimha dev, a story of courage, faith and devotion. The story is a strong reminder of choosing kindness and believing in goodness for the greater benefit of humanity.

Through these shared moments, the strong emphasis on values at Amity are gently evoked and nurtured from time to time, making the celebrations joyful yet thoughtful.

Small Activities, Big Learning

After the rituals of havan and storytelling are emphasised, the celebration continues with creative classroom experiences. Young children Participate in colour-based games, simple crafts, and storytelling circle time activities that encourages not only their participation but also gives a creative outlet to their imagination.

The environment all around is lively and full of learning that flows naturally through play and interaction.

Celebrating More than just Colours

At Amity International School Saket, Holi is not merely a festival, it is an opportunity to nurture character and strengthen community bonds. The rituals, the stories and the shared celebrations come together to create lasting impressions and shaping one’s personality rooted in traditions.

Holi at Amity serves as a strong  reminder that festivals are not just synonymous with enjoyment but also are meant to be understood in their true essence

This Holi 2026, we wish that the true colours continue to shape courage and strong values in every young heart.
