Date: August 10, 2023 The commerce department of the school organised ‘Ecomite’, economics and commerce event for the seventh time. A total of four distinct competitions were organised, wherein students of Class IX and XI participated. The first competition ‘Economics Symposium’, delved into expansive subjects such as electric vehicles, India’s G20 presidency, the Russo-Ukraine conflict, and dedollarization. The second one ‘Game Plan’, spotlighted entrepreneurial prowess with innovative concepts like a self-sufficient ecological farm and an educational website. The third competition called for posters on the theme ‘AI Juggernaut Rolls on: Creator or Destroyer?’ In the fourth competition, ‘Ad-acting’, students ingeniously presented compelling jingles which encapsulated socially impactful messages, linking them to products that accentuate virtues like honesty and humility. All the competitions were judged by school alumni who are currently studying in prestigious universities around the world. The top three winners in each competition were rewarded and all the participants were given certificate of participation.
