Team Vulture Aviation comprising 12 students from Class XII of AIS Noida bagged runner-up position in the global finale of ‘International Space Settlement Design Competition (ISSDC)’ held at NASA Kennedy Space Centre (KSC). The global competition organised by National Space Society and Aerospace Education Competitions was held in four rounds namely prelims (preliminary selection), Indian, Asian, and International. The team from AIS Noida bagged victory for their project titled, ‘Alkasol space settlement on the surface of the moon’ competing against 20 teams and 240 students from all over the world. The event began with a seminar about ISSDC, followed by the elections for company roles, in which AIS Noida was made a part of the company called Vulture Aviation and Amitians secured the following key positions in that company: Raaghav Pillai, president; Ananya Trivedi, vice president marketing; Arnav Somvanshi, vice president of engineering; Ishita Singhal, head of operations; Kushagra Sharan, head of human factors; and Harshwardhan, head of automation. The other team members who assisted the core team were Aaarat Chadda, Muhir Kapoor, Neil Saxena, Niamat Gill, Sanaz Hussain and Vedika Kapoor.
