INTRODUCTION
The annual Inter Amity GT Making a Newspaper Contest introduced by Chairperson Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan and organized by The Global Times, introduces the school students to the different nuances of journalism in a competitive atmosphere. Under this programme, every school prepares one complete edition of the newspaper from the stage of conceptualization to finalizing the designing, layouts and editing. The competition, judged by experts from the media industry, concludes with GT Awards.
2018-19
Date: August 9, 2019 School was declared the winner of ‘Best Editing Award’ at GT Awards 2018-19 that marked the grand finale of the 11th annual GT making a newspaper contest. In the individual category awards, first prizes were won by Arpit Gupta (XI F) & Stuti Kakkar (XI D) for ‘Best Ground Reporting’ and Abhilasha Kuba (XI B) for ‘Best Illustration’. Khushi Daryani (XI E) and Mukund Arora (XI D) were awarded third prize for ‘Best Fictional Story’ and ‘Best Photography’. The glittering ceremony was graced by Ms. Padmaja Joshi, anchor & news editor, Times Now as the chief guest. Ms. Heena Rakheja, principal correspondent, HT, and Mr. Amit Kumar , asst. senior designer HT were the esteemed jury members.
