The school participated in a ‘Responsible use of plastic’ campaign organised by The Global Times, in association with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) which highlighted a world without plastic, debunked various misconceptions about it and apprised students that using plastic responsibly is the only way forward. As a part of the campaign, the school organised an interactive lecture series by the senior experts from Indian Oil. Children participated in a painting competition based on the theme and ‘Waste to wonder’ activity. The campaign culminated with a felicitation ceremony organised by Indian Oil, graced by Mr. A.S Sahney, Executive Director, (Petrochemicals), IOCL who also felicitated Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools & RBEF, under whose visionary leadership and guidance over 5000 students across 18 schools pan India took part in the campaign. The memento was received by managing editor, The Global Times on behalf of Chairperson. The school won an award for the ‘Best Eco-Friendly Garden’. Ashmi S (IX) AIS Noida won overall first prize for the best painting. Ayanna Bansal (V) and Vedika Arya (XII) won first prize in the junior and senior in the ‘school’ category respectively.
