The corridors of Amity International School, Noida, resounded with melody and national pride on the 18th of August 2026, as the school proudly hosted Dhwani-2026, its much-anticipated Inter-School Patriotic Song Singing Competition. Bringing together nearly five hundred students from thirty-six schools across the region, the event transformed the auditorium into a vibrant confluence of music, memory and unwavering love for the motherland.
Under the guidance of esteemed Chairperson, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, whose gracious presence motivated the participants, the programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by respected Director Principal, Mrs. Renu Singh, heads of the school and the esteemed Chief Guests, Dr. Devender Verma ‘ Brajrang’ (a noted Indian classical artist, musicologist, author, and teacher) and Dr. Aditi Sharma Garg (a renowned Dhrupad vocalist, composer, and musicologist), marking an auspicious beginning to the event.
Director Principal Mrs. Renu Singh inspired the audience with her profound insight regarding her commitment to strengthen India through its youth. The auditorium came alive with a sense of unity and pride as each of the participating teams poured their hearts and souls into every single note they sang.
To conclude the memorable day, honourable Chairperson, Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan ma’am encouraged the youth to dream bigger, believe in themselves, and strive for excellence. The teams of AIS Noida and AIS Gurugram Sec-43 both bagged the first position. The Chief Guests presented awards to the winning teams, praising the students for their hard work and brilliant vocal unison. The Second Place was bagged by AIS Saket and Kothari International School, Noida. Their spirited rendition won many hearts; while the Third Position was secured by AIS Vasundhara 6.
Chief Guest, Dr. Devender Verma highlighted that music is the language of the soul and becomes a transcendent force when it marries devotion to the motherland. Dr. Garg shared her insight on the importance of Indian languages and how patriotic songs act as a powerful tool in fostering national unity and inspire citizens to respect their country.
As the curtains were drawn on Dhwani-2026, the entire assembly rose to render the National Anthem with pride and solemnity. The event drew to a close on a note of unity and inspiration, leaving every heart present a little more patriotic than before.
The event ended on a proud note with a formal vote of thanks and heartfelt gratitude to the sacrifices of the valiant freedom fighters of India.
