A one-day exchange programme ‘Nihongo Partner’ was organised by the school in collaboration with Japan Foundation, for the students of Class IX and X. The occasion was graced by Prof Ashok Kumar Chawla, Advisor, Ministry of Education; Suman Kansotiya, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Education; Hokugo, Minister of Economics, Embassy of Japan; Hoshina Teruyuki, Deputy Director, Japan Foundation and Taisei Toyomaru, Director, Japan Foundation. Several activities were conducted by scholars of Tokyo University to promote Japanese language and culture. As part of the programme, Amitians learnt Yukata wearing, voice modulation, anime enactment and traditional Japanese games (Shitaki). The Japanese students danced to the tunes of garba and relished some Indian meals.
