Patriotic song competition ‘Dwani’ to commemorate the 68th year of Indian Independence 2014-2015

The very vibrant and colourful Inter school patriotic song competition, ‘Dwani’was held at Amity International School , Noida on the 13 th of August,2015. A total of 32 schools participated in this grand event which has been conceived by the respected Chairperson of the Amity group of schools, Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan , who feels that a patriotic fervour can only be instilled into the youth, through music and songs.

Amity has been hosting this competition since the last 15 years, as a celebration of our Independence. Schools like Presidium, Gd goenka, DPS, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and many more eminent public schools from Noida as well as Delhi took part in the competition and won the hearts of the audience by their melodious performances. All the songs sung at the competition were self composed, and therefore were appreciated by the judges for their creativity. The winner of the competition was the Vishwa Bharti School , while the other two positions went to Amity, Vasundhara and Amity, Saket .

The Principal of A.I.S, Noida, Mrs Renu Singh said that Songs are those pieces of emotion and joy which do not fail to move anyone and thus the love for one’s country should also be sung with great spirit and verve.
