F1 in Schools

Team Bolt representing AIS Noida put up a splendid performance atthe ninth F1 in Schools worldchampionship 2013 held at Austin,Texas from November 8 – 15. The team comprising Class X students, Chittaranjan Prasad, Aman Agarwal, Aabhaas Vaish and Anjali Singh were part of the two qualifying teams from India that did the school and country proud by beating teams from countries across the world in record breaking time. Being one of the youngest participants, Team Bolt performed exceptionally well by winning the Knockout Racing Winner’s Award as well as the Best Newcomer Award at the finals. F1 in Schools challenges students to create their own Formula One team which is commissioned to design, manufacture and race the fastest miniature Formula One Car of the future; a 21cm long scale model designed using 3D solid modelling software and machined from a block of balsa wood, incorporating 3D print technology in its front and rear wings.
