Date: October 4 to 13, 2016
The school hosted 10 High school students comprising 8 girls and 2 boys, along with 3 faculty members from Kanton Shule Wettingen, Switzerland, for a period of 10 days. The students experienced the warmth and hospitality of the host families, savoured Indian food, visited historical places in Delhi and Agra, shopped Indian goods, applied henna on the hands, participated in the Dusshera celebrations including Dandia and much more. At school, they created their own stoles using the technique Tie and Dye (Bandhni), learnt the Gayatri Mantra, shared the common culture, education and life situations through different activities and discussions. They has also spent time with Amitasha students, a school for less privileged girl children run by Amity.
The faculty members had a wonderful experience conducting teaching sessions for students of Classes X and XI.
