National Intellectual Property Award in ATL category

School bagged the ‘National Intellectual Property Award in ATL’. The award comes as an unprecedented feat, with AIS Mayur Vihar becoming the only school in India to achieve the same.  Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools & RBEF and Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, AUUP & President, RBEF, accepted the award during a prestigious ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan on October 13, 2023. The award was presented by Mr Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Textile, Consumer Affairs Food and Public Distribution, and Mr Abhay Karandikar, Secretary DST. The National Intellectual Property (IP) Awards are conferred every year to recognise and reward the top achievers comprising individuals, institutions, organisations and enterprises, for their IP creations and commercialisation, which have contributed towards strengthening the IP eco-system in the country and in encouraging creativity and innovation. The National IP Awards are intended to encourage innovation and management of intellectual property portfolio that influences the success of the innovation in different industry segments.  This year National Intellectual IP Awards introduced a new category ‘Special Citation Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATL)’. AIS Mayur Vihar emerged victorious in each of the five categories of the award with its extensive work in the field of STEM by conducting numerous activities for students to comprehend STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts with its state-of -the -art ATL laboratory with the highest number of scientific instruments and facilities available for video-conferencing and meeting rooms.  The school had worked hard in the said field, securing several credentials in the process to make it through the rigorous screening; one of them being that AIS MV saw the highest number of students participating and being recognised in national, regional, state and district level competitions. In addition, the school had also conducted extensive activities at various levels including competitions, problem solving workshops, seminars, webinars, conferences, exhibitions and more. The school’s work in the given field for the past three years was assessed as a qualification for the award.
