School team comprising Class XII students Yashika Priyadarshini and Divya Upadhyay, secured first runner-up position at COHORT 1.0 – Pre-Incubation Programme, launched by Amity Innovation Incubator, Gurugram, under the TIDE 2.0 scheme of MeitY start-up. They won the award for their business idea – a pH-based fertiliser calculator that can check the pH level of water used for irrigation, and bagged prize worth 1 lakh INR. Another project ‘Auto-maneuvering robot’ for ploughing and seed dispensing made by Pragun Sethi (VII) too won special mention award at the competition. The programme which saw participation by 59 teams from Amity Group of Schools was aimed at providing a learning platform to young students in the field the field of entrepreneurship and start-ups, grooming them as future entrepreneurs. Teams presented business ideas based on different themes like healthcare, agriculture, education, environment, clean tech, finance, infrastructure, clean energy, amidst several others.
