The Initiative for Research and Innovation in Science (IRIS), is initiated by Intel Technology India with the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India (DST), and Indo-US Science Technology Forum (IUSSTF) for empowering the next generation of innovators.
Two students of the school, Kopal Gupta and Shreya Nandi, bagged the gold medal at the Initiative for Research and Innovation in Science (IRIS) National Fair 2014. Competing with students from across the country, the duo proved their mettle to win the first position in the competition. Their passion for cleanliness inspired them to develop a project wherein they used carbon to remove pesticides and residual insecticides from the surface of fruits and vegetables. The innovative project was applauded by everyone.
Kopal Gupta & Shreya Nandi won Gold Medal at IRIS National Fair Ishani Goomer & Khanak Bhargava’s project won gold medal at IRIS Ishani Goomer and Khanak Bhargava of Class XI participated in the renowned Initiative for Research and Innovation in Science (IRIS) National Fair 2012 and won the gold medal. The students made an innovative project to distinguish naturally ripened fruits from artificially ripened fruits. The project was selected to represent India at Intel International Science and Engineering Fair that was held in Phoenix, Arizona, USA in May 2013.
