The Youth Power team of the school bagged the first runner up position and the award for Best Social Implementation at the grand finale of the 15th Youth Power, the annual ethical leadership and social awareness competition. The team ‘Raahkawach’ comprising team leader Avni Drolia, along with Rishima Chand, Amogh Singh and Sneha Goel conducted several activities to spread awareness on road safety. They conducted sessions on road safety ethics, pedestrian safety, emergency response procedures during road accidents with the citizens. They also collaborated with Delhi Traffic Police and conducted an awareness drive on road safety for both drivers and pedestrians. One of the volunteers also created ‘Life Securing Head Shell,’ a smart helmet equipped with advanced sensors that automatically checks whether the person is wearing a helmet and has non-alcoholic breath while driving. Total 12 handpicked teams from Amity Group of Schools Pan India participated in the event graced by academic, social activist and technocrat Mr. Vinit Goenka, as the chief guest. Mr. Rishikant Mishra, Founder and President, Udaar Foundation, Noida and Dr. Rahul Kapoor, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida were the jury members of the event.
