A special felicitation ceremony was held to honour 27 students who achieved distinction in the prestigious YL Flyers (Young Learners Flyers) and KET (Key English Test) organised by Cambridge Assessment English, a department of the University of Cambridge, UK. Total 8 students from Class III and IV received distinction in YL Flyers exam. It is notable that in this exam students are assessed based on a shield-based grading system with 4 criterion namely listening, speaking, writing and reading, for the evaluation of language skills. Each skill is awarded up to 5 shields (15 shields in total) and distinction is awarded to the students who achieve all 15 shields. Besides this, 19 students from Class V – VI, were felicitated for distinction in KET, a test that evaluates on the basis of scores. Students who score more than 140 marks out of 150 are awarded A grade and the distinction trophy.
