Amity International School, Mayur Vihar, celebrated the nation’s 80th Independence Day with immense fervour, pride, and patriotic zeal across two consecutive days. The celebrations commenced on 14th August 2026 with a vibrant cultural showcase. The event opened with the unfurling of the National Flag followed by the National Anthem. Students delivered a series of spirited performances, including a graceful classical dance and a melodious group song that filled the atmosphere with national pride. Respected Principal Ms. Meenu Kanwar addressed the gathering, delivering an inspiring speech that reminded students of their responsibilities as future citizens and encouraged them to uphold the core values of unity, discipline, and national progress.
The festivities continued on 15th August 2026 with a grand Flag Hoisting Ceremony held in the school’s skating area. The solemn occasion was graced by Principal Ms. Meenu Kanwar, Vice Principal Dr. S.K. Singhal, Senior Coordinator Ms. Archana Upadhyay, Middle Wing Coordinator Ms. Anshu Bhatnagar, Primary Wing Head Mistress Ms. Anshu Verma, and Event Coordinator Ms. Sunita Chopra, along with staff, students, and parents. Following the hoisting of the tricolour and the renditions of Vande Mataram and the National Anthem, the choir presented patriotic songs. The event also featured dynamic rhythmic performances by the school’s budding Tabla players and energetic dance routines celebrating India’s rich glory. The morning concluded with tea and refreshments, leaving the gathering deeply inspired by the ultimate sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters and armed forces.
