Amity International School, Mayur Vihar hosted the Regional Round of the National Youth Robotics Challenge (NYRC) on Friday, 5 December 2025, in the school premises. The competition provided a dynamic platform for students from Classes IV to XII, categorised into Level I (Classes IV–V), Level II (Classes VI–VIII) and Level III (Classes IX–XII), to showcase innovation and technical excellence. The event was graced by Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF, whose presence was a great source of encouragement and motivation for the students. Mr. H. K. Sahajwani, Senior Physics Educator and Life Member of the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT), presided as the Chief Guest. The panel of eminent guests and judges included Dr. Nimmi Singh, Senior Science Educator, Mr. Sourabh Pithode, Senior Program Manager, Edvicon Edtech Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Sunil Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, University of Delhi, and Mr. Manoj Semwal, Guest of Honour.
The competition witnessed participation of over 600 students forming 125 teams from more than 21 schools across Delhi-NCR, competing in eight events. A total of 17 teams from Amity International School, Mayur Vihar qualified for the National Level. The qualified teams included Robo Soccer: Adhiraj Kumar, Dia Sharma, Hansika and Harman Pal Singh (Class IX); Samarth Gupta, Agastya Chhibber and team (Class VII); Keerat and team (Class VIII). Drone Race: Bhavdeep and team (Class VI) and Abhyuday Tomar with team (Class XI). Line Follower: Vardha Krishna (Class XI) and Aashvi Gupta with team (Class VII). RC Car Race: Shivansh Pandey and team (Class IX), Vedaan Gaur and team (Class VI), and Garv Bhutani with team (Class VIII). Innovation Showdown: Vidushi Sawhney and Prisha Singh (Class V), Sakaar Narang (Class IV), Manneh Agarwal (Class VI), Shashwat Prem Narang (Class XI), Kairavi Budhiraja (Class VIII), and Anshika Kumari with Siddhi Dwivedi (Class IX).
