Juniors annual day titled, ‘Matrika – The Creator’ was celebrated as a eulogy to the motherhood. Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF, graced the event with Vineet Joshi, IAS, Director General National Testing Agency (NTA) as the chief guest and Ashok Sangwan, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Gurugram as the special guest. Cultural evening commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed by the school report being presented by school principal, Aarti Chopra. School orchestra ‘Swar Stuti’ performed a soulful symphony and western choir gave a mesmerizing presentation. The dance drama ‘Matrika -The Creator’ – recounting the tales of brave mothers like Jijabai, Mata Gujari, Marie Curie and Nancy Edison – was a moving visual treat. Students of Amitasha, a school for less privileged girl child, sang a group song ‘Dharaanurag’. A visual exhibition ‘Vithika’ highlighted the rich Indian heritage at the event. The evening concluded with the rendition of school song and the National Anthem.
