Team EarthUtsav, the youth power team of the school lead by Anushka along with team members Vanya Saluja, Soham Mukherjee and Angel Dua won the Jury Special Mention award and also bagged the award for the Most Impactful Answer at the grand finale of the 17th Youth Power, the annual ethical leadership and social awareness competition organised under the aegis of The Global Times.

Team EarthUtsav raised awareness on Eco-friendly celebrations as a part of which they collected flowers and chunnis offered at various temples and pandals during Durga Puja celebrations. The flowers were dried and turned into dhoops which were used for several school events and were even gifted to guests. The chunnis were upcycled into bridal veils by the team, in collaboration with NGO Goonj, and were then donated to underprivileged brides. They also created ecofriendly decorations for Diwali and recycled old items to curb wastage associated with buying new items. In collaboration with the Dream Girl Foundation the team organised ‘Utsav of Threads’ under which they taught children how to repurpose old socks and hand towels into soft toys. The event was graced by Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF along with the Chief Guest Dr. Rashmi Singh Secretary, Dept of Women & Child Development, Government of NCT of Delhi, Chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women, & Chairperson of Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
