Amity International School, Sec 46 Gurgaon hosted an Odissi dance lec dem presentation by renowned artist Ms. Geeta Mahalik under the aegis ofSPIC MACAY on 1st August 2018 in the school premises. .Before beginning the presentation,Ms. Geeta Mahalik ,addressed the gathering and gave students an insight on classical dance forms of India and their significance. She also demonstrated the different mudras.She was accompanied by Shri Prafulla Dash on Mardala, Shri. Prasanta Behera the vocal artist, Shri. Affzal on Violin. Her classical presentation and way of explaining the details mesmerized students sitting as audience. In her interaction with the editorial board of the school, she also said that, “ I enjoyed performing for the students. They were very much interested and involved in the programme. I thank Principal to have given them a chance to watch in programme. This type of exposure to classical art form will help them to develop a holistic personality.”
