The school hosted a mesmerising Odissi performance by maestro Kavita Dwivedi, under the aegis of SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth). She was accompanied by Prashant Mangaraj on the mardal, Suresh Sethi on vocals, and Nikhil Kumar on the flute. The event began with lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by an enchanting performance interwoven with engaging dialogues to help students understand the graceful footwork and expressive eye movements characteristic of Odissi. It culminated with an interactive Q&A session, where the artistes’ shared insights into the history, cultural significance, and nuanced beauty of the classical dance form. Principal, Dr. Arti Chopra presented all the artists with mementos, honouring their contributions to Indian culture and heritage.
