The Youth Power team of the school bagged the Jury’s Special Mention award and Best Panel Discussion award at the grand finale of the 15th Youth Power, the annual ethical leadership and social awareness competition. Team ‘Umeed’ comprising team leader Venessa Verma, along with Hansika Ralli, Aastha Sood, Aaditya Garg and their mentor conducted several activities to spread awareness on Dyslexia. They created a special jumbled menu, and a board game titled ‘Mind Maze’ to highlight the struggles of dyslexic. They also organized a GLAD (Grade Level Assessment Device) screening for the young girls of Amitasha, Chairperson’s initiative for the less privileged girl child. To highlight the nutritional impact of omega-3 and zinc on learning abilities, they even organized a salad fest. Total 12 handpicked teams from Amity Group of Schools Pan India participated in the event graced by academic, social activist and technocrat Mr. Vinit Goenka, as the chief guest. Mr. Rishikant Mishra, Founder and President, Udaar Foundation, Noida and Dr. Rahul Kapoor, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida were the jury members of the event.
